A dry, spicy French-style saison with German hops. You really can’t find anything else like it! Perfect for any hot summer day. Try it and you won’t be disappointed! Grab a glass of this guy at Revolution Brewing, just off the California blue line stop.
2. The White Chapel Whit at Haymarket
A wheat based beer with hints of banana and mango. The hint of fruit will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. You can find this beer at Haymarket, Chicago's newest in the brewpub scene (we had an awesome event there when it opened!).
3. Goose Island Summertime
A Chicago summer classic. This German-style Kolsch has a light lemon aroma and mild fruitiness. This choice is great for drinking after a long day at the beach! It pairs well with mozzarella sticks or any of your favorite Goose Island apps. As it's brewed in Chicago, this beer is never far away. But be sure to snatch it up before Anheuser-Busch takes changes it!
4. Dog Days from Two Brothers Brewing Company
This beer is a Dortmunder-style lager, spicy and crisp. Dog Days is a great pick when the humidity is more than you can handle! The refreshing crisp will help put that pep back in your step. Two Brothers is located just west of the city in Warrenville but thankfully we can find this brew within city limits.
5. Metropolitan’s Krankshaft Kolsch
It’s a crisp beer with mellow fruit characters and pairs well with a fruit salad, hummus, and according to Metro's website, SAILING! So bring some along when you come to our BYOB sailing event next week. And, make sure you check out Metropolitan when in the Ravenswood area!
What's your favorite brew in the summertime?
