Everyone got into the March Madness spirit on Friday, but the reigning champions took home the prize for the second year in a row!

Our second annual Whirlyball March Madness competition took place this Friday, and newcomers and veterans alike had a blast playing in a tournament with actual winning potential.

We met at 8:00 PM at Whirlyball on Fullerton and quickly learned the rules and regs of this crazy game (think bumper cars meets lacrosse meets basketball). Teams were formed and before you know it, we were off playing round robin style for a chance to win $20 gift certificates to SmallBar and, of course, pride and glory.

To stay energized during the game, guests enjoyed a plethora of hot, delicious pizza along with an open bar from 8-10:00 PM complete with unlimited Miller Lite bottles, well liquor and house wine.

The competition was fierce, but the reigning champions (Team Austin) took home the prize. No sore losers in this game, however. Giddy from a great time and a $15 off coupon for their next time to Whirly, guests hopped over to nearby SmallBar for the after-party where they enjoyed yet another Miller Lite, great company, and a great atmosphere.

Despite the competitive spirit, new friends and acquaintances were born and an amazing night was had!
