_____The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer (kind of), and it's time for some good ol' fashioned outdoor recreation- without leaving the city! For the third year in a row, we're taking it to the river for one of our most popular events of the summer - Kayak & Kick it!

The guys from Urban Kayaks (Chicago's newest kayak company) will once again be leading the way. Started by three born-and-raised Chicagoans, Urban Kayaks has a prime spot on the Chicago River, just a short walk from the Loop! The staff is all certified by the American Canoe Association and the equipment is brand new and top of the line.

At 6:00 PM, we'll meet at the Urban Kayaks dock (located just east of Columbus along the Riverwalk) to kick off our night of adventure. Guests can choose from a single kayak or a tandem kayak (that's for two, people) and will receive a paddle and all necessary gear to make this private trip safe and successful.

After learning some basic kayak skills, we'll embark on our guided 2-hour tour of downtown Chicago while our expert instructors discuss Chicago architecture, current events, and our surroundings. Because the Urban Kayaks is located so close to downtown and Navy Pier, you'll be immersed in amazing scenery from the get-go. To keep you energized, grab a KIND bar and Greater Than coconut water sports drink for the road, err, river!

As the sun begins to set and your appetite begins to rise, we'll dock our boats and head to Lizzie McNeill's, located directly across the river (just over the Columbus bridge). This casual Irish Pub has prime river real estate, and a reserved outdoor section will await us for continued river views. Quench your thirst with two Coors Lights while you feast on a buffet of caprese skewers, fresh veggies and hummus, and a complete taco bar with chicken, beef, and all the fix-ins! 

Weather policy:
Event will proceed as scheduled in the case of light rain. In the case of inclement weather, an Urban Kayak staff member will make any cancellation determinations by the scheduled start time of the event and guests will be notified via email. In the case of a cancellation by Urban Kayaks, a reschedule date will be determined and your ticket will be automatically transferred to the new date. Should you be unable to attend the rescheduled date, you will have 24 hours from the time of the reschedule date announcement to request a full refund.

Tickets valid for your chosen date only. Tickets are non-refundable but ARE transferable to another person. Please email info@cityswarmchicago.com to transfer ticket to another guest. Tickets NOT transferable to another date. All tickets subject to weather policy outlined above. Must be 21 or older to attend event, valid photo I.D. required.
