If we have any experience in this area, we're gonna guess that on Halloween weekend, you'll probably trade your candy in for a beer (or a few). But what's Halloween without treats? We long for the days of parading around in costume, door to door, while our neighbors happily hand over delicious food, no questions asked.

Unfortunately, if we started banging on doors at this age, our neighbors are more likely to grab the cops than the treats. So we thought, if knocking on doors is tabu, what about knocking on food trucks? Since food trucks are new and soooo hot right now, the rules have yet to be inscribed in the book of Halloween etiquette. So unfold those costumes and get ready to celebrate Halloween one last time at our first-ever Truck & Treat event!

Our flashback to childhood will begin at 7:00 PM at Wrightwood Park, located at Wrightwood and Greenview. As you approach the vicinity, the delicious smells wafting from five food trucks will haunt you. After checking in with CitySwarm staff, you'll receive five tickets that you'll use to "trick or treat" with at each individual truck stationed nearby on the street (chubby cheeks and a smile aren't sufficient anymore).

With your ticket, at each truck you'll receive one savory item that's representative of the truck's typical cuisine, and one sweet treat that's exclusive to this event! All in all, that's a spell-binding 10-item meal and a half! And, don't forget your costume, because each truck will be choosing a guest with the "Best Costume" to receive a special truck-tastic prize (like a private ride on the truck)!

At 8:30 PM, or when your of-age self is done pretending to be a tot and needing a beer like a vampire needs blood, we'll head over to The Crossing conveniently located a block away, where your thirst-quenchers await. Each guest will receive a Blue Moon to drink in the season plus additional drink specials all night long. The Best Costume winners will be announced, and while in the real world we can't all win, acting like a kid for one night will have you optimistic until next Halloween.

Tickets valid for October 31st 2012 only. Tickets are non-refundable but ARE transferable to another person. Please email info@cityswarmchicago.com to transfer ticket to another guest.
